Come on people I know there is something you do that's crazy? Maybe even semi-crazy! Like painting your backpack, or making a picture with colors on your wall just for fun. If not I must be really full of it!
What are you color crazy about?!?!
REPLY OR DON'T
ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS IF SO I WANT TO HEAR THEM JUST TO SEE IF YOU CAN REALLY SHUT DOWN A 12 YEAR OLD. I BET NOT.

Hello and welcome.

There are many people crazy about color here... So don't worry you're not full of it.

P.S. No need to ask for negative comments. Nobody here wants to shut down a 12 y/o.

While I no longer do this, I used to organize my cd's (I have quite a lot of them) by color.

I have a habit to name colors using its RGB value. I wonder if that's "crazy" by your definition.

I think I went crazy about colours long time ago.
I tend to make salads and try to make them look good in terms of colours.
I organize my shoes in a way they have to look joyful (not by gradient but all mixed up).
I use a lot of colours in my work, of course always respecting clients needs.
I need to see something red in each room of my house.
I'm a freakin' colour cucu :)

I organize my bookcase and clothes by color. I don't know if that's color crazy, but it looks pretttty.

I organize my clothes to look like a rainbow :) I wear a lot of red, orange, and green, so I had to buy clothes in other colors to complete the full spectrum of the rainbow.

My depression seems to be under control, finally. But when I used to hit a very very very bad spot, I would buy myself the largest box of Crayolas available and a coloring book, and start coloring. It really helped. (I'm not talking 'kid' here -- the last time iI did this, I was in my 50's.)

Up until a couple of years ago, I used to color as well (I'm in my late 30's). I would never admit to this outside of CL since I'm supposed to be an adult, but dayum if coloring still isn't fun and relaxing! Why should the kids have all of the fun?

Oh yah! I still do that. When I get bored at work or on a plane, I whip them out (I keep a box in my office). I write notes in color, it helps lighten the mood around the office. I have to keep my crayons in color order, it really bugs me if they're out of order!

I too organize the clothes in my closet by color. From black to white and everything in between and then some..

As for being color crazy.. I make art out of things I collect, shoes laces, chop sticks, etc... one boring day an idea struck. 4 hours later I had a piece of window art made entirely out of a vast array of colored and patterned shoe laces, give or take a bit of super glue and metal here and there. I don't know if that counts as crazy but I'm pretty sure its close. ^__^

It seems I am by no means "color crazy" in terms of clothes, even less color crazy than normal individuals.
Most of my clothes are black or dark grey colored. A few blue and green ones. That's all.

As for shoes, currently all of them are plain-black.

As for organising bookshelves, I am by no means color crazy either.
I simply put the books wherever I find suitable.

My wardrobe is sorted by color. All my craft supplies are arranged by color.
I eat my m&m's one at a time, starting with my least favorite color.

Haha, I do that too with other candies...it's more because of the flavor not the color. But it's a silly thing :D

And here I thought I was the only one...lol. Dork that I am, I sort all of the candy by colour first and then eat all one colour at a time...starting with the one there's the most of.

I'm definitely a colour junky. At work, the generic yellow post-its and black ball points just don't cut it. I need my multi-coloured sticky notes and pens. Whatever gets you through the day I guess. :D

The day management turned over the purchasing of office supplies to our receptionist was a happy one for me. We have a lot more "toys" in the office now; including rainbow Post-Its. :)

Thank goodness I'm not the only one :) In college I was so obsessed with colored pens that I would take down my notes in rainbow colors. I would start with the red ink and then move on to the orange the next time the class met and so on and so forth. I would have to skip the yellow pen though since it was useless on white paper :(

I heard/read somewhere that color enhances memory and I swear it works. All throughout school I would use colored note cards or write in colors and I could remember ANYTHING.

M&Ms: First I would sort them into groups of related colors:
+++ red and orange in one group (plus my favorite, the mustard color -- I'll never forgive M&M for discontinuing them);
+++ green and the dreadful blue in the other group.
Now, chocolate and yellow fit with both groups, so I would distribute them evenly between the groups. Only then would I start to eat, trying hard to keep both groups balanced.

Now, if anybody hasn't read this (non-color-related) article on the M&M game, feel free to do so now.

I love that story. I like to squish my m&ms when they're slightly melted.

I used to do this with those giant bags of Jelly Belly beans. I would dump the whole bag out onto the kitchen table and sort them out into their respective color groups. Then true to form, I would line them up in a rainbow so I could decide which ones to eat first. Usually I would eat some from the larger groups first to keep the colors balanced.

I always organise my pencils by colour gradient. I don't think that's very crazy, but oh well. I just can't help it.

I don´t know if you think it´s crazy worthy but...besides some of the things you do (or did) and of my passion for colour expressed in my photographic and design work (and pretty much every thing I do) I´m doing my thesis about the colour...
